On 15 December 1995 the IfM Ingenieurgesellschaft für Maschinenbau mbH was set up with 5 employees. It is an profit-making subsidiary wholly owned by the research facilities Cetex Institut für Textil- und Verarbeitungsmaschinen gemeinnützige GmbH. In 2001, the com-pany was renamed in Cetex Ingenieurgesellschaft für Maschinenbau mbH to express the close co-operation and mutual completion of the two facilities.
The production profile of the company contains the realization of tasks for design and construction of testing facilities for the general economy as well as such tasks which arise from the research and development activities of the Cetex Institut für Textil- und Verarbeitungsmaschinen gemeinnützige GmbH.
The construction of prototypes and testing facilities for first applications and new-product introductions as well as tasks for testings at the customers and partners are taken on. The aim is a comprehensive consultation and support of the customers un-der consideration of customized requests.
Customers are particularly companies from mechanical engineering and from the textile mechanical engineering.
