Cetex Institut für Textil- und Verarbeitungsmaschinen gemeinnützige GmbH is a application-oriented research institute for the textile machine construction sector based in the Free State of Saxony. Cetex is well aware of its links with the longstanding traditions of manufacturing textile machinery in the Free State and can point back to its own fifty year history. The institute is the only organisation of its kind in Germany.
Cetex provides research and development support for mechanical engineering companies that are facing process engineering challenges in textile projects. We develop new machine concepts and new processes for our customers in the fields of fibre production, fabric production, textile finishing and manufacturing ready-made garments. One of our major focuses is working with technical textiles.
Since December 1, 2008, Cetex has been an affiliated institute of the Chemnitz University of Technology. The aim will be to further strengthen the existing cooperation and to connect findings of the basic research of the university with the own applied research. This will help to push the development of new machine and handling technology for the increasing use of continuous fibres and textile semifinished products as reinforcements of light-weight structures and for the production of preforms.
Our motivated staff have extensive expertise on textile machinery and provide creative and forward-looking solutions using modern technology. By combining design, technology and related disciplines, we are able to handle projects effectively starting with the basic idea, developing the concept and even constructing prototypes that are ready for series production.
Our research expertise ensures that our customers will continue to be one step ahead of their customers in terms of efficiency and productivity in future too.
