By using the material testing machine Type Z2,5/TS1S produced by company Zwick compression strength and indentation hardness of the textiles can be determined. On the basis of the determination of mechanical upholstery and application-oriented characteristics respectively the influence of modifications of the technological parameters on the behaviour of the product can be investigated. Thus the spacer fabric can by optimally adapted to the requirements.
There are diverse fields of applications for the spacer fabrics. So far, the focus has been on mattresses, automobile seats, overlays for pieces of sports equipment and cushions for orthopedics and rehabilitation technology.
