The focus will be on practical industrial collaborations that support sustainable and resource-efficient manufacturing processes.
At our Cetex presentation wall, we are combining two sustainable projects for industry and the sports and leisure sector: organic sheets made from 100 % waste cuttings, which were developed in collaboration with Teubert Maschinenbau GmbH, and recycled climbing holds optimised in terms of their carbon footprint, which were developed in collaboration with blocz from Chemnitz. Blocz is one of the leading international manufacturers of climbing elements and attaches great importance to sustainability through durable products and the economical use of resources.
We will also be presenting new developments in the field of HYROV hybrid roving materials: hybrid rovings based on carbon fibres with a PEEK matrix, which were developed in collaboration with thermoPre Engineering GmbH. Generally speaking, hybrid materials consist of at least two different homogeneously mixed roving materials, combined into a single strand, which enables full utilisation of the mechanical properties while also offering excellent impregnation properties. All types of fibres that are available in roving form can be used as starting materials. Hybrid rovings can in principle be further processed in all textile technology processes but are currently mainly used in tailored fibre placement and braiding.
