Saxon industrial research institutes join forces in the fight against corona
Medical protective equipment is currently in short supply. Numerous members of the Sächsische Industrieforschungsgemeinschaft e. V. (SIG) support Saxon hospitals in the fight against corona to the best of their abilities.
Some SIG institutes, such as the ITW in Chemnitz, the ILK in Dresden, Cetex and STFI in Chemnitz and the IHD in Dresden, have been producing components for face visors using 3D printing since the end of March.
JEC World 2020 in Paris cancelled- the next date will be: 9-11 March 2021
This decision was taken after the JEC Group conducted a survey among JEC World exhibitors during the Corona crisis. The survey showed that 87.9 % of those questioned would be in favour of the next edition of JEC WORLD from March 9 to 11, 2021. JEC World is the leading trade fair in the fibre composite sector.
17. Chemnitzer Textiltechnik-Tagung (CTT) - postponed to 2021
The organisers of the 17th Chemnitzer Textiltechnik-Tagung (CTT) have decided to postpone the event planned for 1 and 2 April 2020 to March 31st and April 1st 2021 due to the spread of the corona virus. Further information will follow shortly.
The partners of the Alliance of Textile Lightweighting (ATL), together with the industrial partners Hegewald & Peschke and FIBTEX as well as the network RESSOURCETEX, exhibit at Composites Europe from 10 to 12 September 2019 in Stuttgart.
The focus of the presentation and the interest of the trade visitors was on a new system technology for automatic roving change, which makes it possible to carry out the material change at slightly reduced machine speed while the plant is in operation.
At the Techtextil 2019, the Cetex Institute presented new process approaches and material developments for the mass production of fiber-reinforced lightweight structures. Of particular interest was a process for the highly flexible, continuous and effective production of hybrid rovings and hybrid tapes.
With effect from January 1st, 2018, Sebastian Nendel, previously Managing Director Research and Development, took over the operational business of the Cetex Institute as Managing Director. Mr. Hans-Jürgen Heinrich resigns from the management after 27 years, but will continue to be at the institute's disposal for technical tasks with his many years of experience. Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Prof. h. c. Dr. h. c. Prof. Lothar Kroll remains director of the institute.
16. Chemnitzer Textiltechnik-Tagung: „Technologievorsprung durch Textiltechnik“
„Technologievorsprung durch Textiltechnik“ lautet das Motto der 16. Chemnitzer Textiltechnik-Tagung (CTT) am 28. und 29. Mai 2018.
Die Tagung bietet eine ideale Plattform, um aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse und Trends aus den Bereichen Maschinenbau, Textilindustrie und Leichtbau zu präsentieren. Veranstaltungsort ist die Messe Chemnitz.
DIN SPEC 25714 - Standard for mineral high-performance fibers of natural origin
DIN SPEC 25714 "Basalt Fibers - Technical Delivery Conditions" defines for the first time a standardized and uniformly reproducible proof of performance for high-performance fibers of natural mineral origin.
Presentation at Composites Europe 2017 in Stuttgart
The Cetex Institute is organizing a joint stand with 12 partners at the Composites Europe on an area of 180 m²: with the members of the Alliance of Textile Lightweighting (ATL) and industrial partners.
It's time! Our new website is online after intensive work. With a fresh design and a new structure, we would like to introduce ourselves to you as a research partner for textile and processing machine construction.
Development of a DIN SPEC "Textiles – Basalt fibers"
The Cetex Institute participates as a co - author in the development of a DIN SPEC "Textiles – Basalt Fibers". The project was initiated by the Steinbeis Transfer Center „Cetex - Processing technologies for technical textiles” and is being implemented in cooperation with DIN Berlin.
